“I am not really terribly interested in global warming. Like most physicists I don’t think much about it. But in 2008 I was in a panel here about global warming and I had to learn something about it. And I spent a day or so – half a day maybe on Google, and I was horrified by what I learned. And I’m going to try to explain to you why that was the case.”
This is a quote from the scientist himself. The man spent a day of research and he thinks he can say definitively whether or not climate change is a serious problem meanwhile, the rest of the scientific community says it is a serious problem.
One of the biggest challenges for preppers and gardeners who live in urban settings is space.
It’s tough to find enough space to plant basil, let alone grow an entire garden. Even if you live on a fairly large lot, neighbors may take exception to you growing a full garden in your front yard. You also have to worry about scavengers, both human and 4-legged, robbing your goodies.
So how can you go about gaining self-sufficiency without being obvious? Two words: edible landscaping.
This sort of landscaping involves simply using edible plants in place of strictly ornamental ones. It’s not so hard to do and it’s relatively subtle so it’s the perfect way to grow your own food and save some grocery money within a limited space. You can even do it if you live in an apartment though you’ll have to be a bit…

By Michael Snyder – End of The American Dream
If the United States and China are supposed to be such “great friends”, why are both sides acting as if war is in our future? Thanks to events in the South China Sea and the blatant theft of the personal information of millions of U.S. government workers, tensions between the United States and China are the highest that they have been in decades. Most Americans typically assume that a real, actual shooting war between the U.S. and China could never possibly happen, but as you will see below the Chinese are actually spending a lot of time and money preparing for precisely such a conflict. In fact, the Chinese are working feverishly to develop new offensive weapons systems that would only be used in such a war. Of course it is extremely unlikely that a military conflict between our two nations…

(NaturalNews) Professor Frank Fenner says humanity is finished. It’s already too late to save ourselves from the suicidal future we’ve created where the ecosystem can no longer support human life. “We’re going to become extinct,” the scientist says. “Whatever we do now is too late.” (SOURCE)
Frank Fenner, now 95 years old, is a fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and of the Royal Society. He’s published “hundreds of scientific papers and written or co-written 22 books,” says The Australian, which prints these words from an interview with Fenner:
We’ll undergo the same fate as the people on Easter Island… Climate change is just at the very beginning … The human species is likely to go the same way as many of the species that we’ve seen disappear. Homo sapiens will become extinct, perhaps within 100 years … It’s…

Sometimes, you have to think outside of the freeze-dried food paradigm. You may find yourself in the woods forced to run from your home or camp because of marauders with nothing to eat. Fortunately, there are many edible plants that can save your life if you know what they are, how to identify them and are comfortable with preparing them.
I don’t personally think that I will love eating a bunch of weeds to survive, but I will if needed. In a long-term disaster, I would certainly consider them vital to preserving life and the right edible plants could augment your gardens and food stores. I wanted to write up this list of 20 edible plants that are found mostly in the temperate region. There are certainly others you could find growing near you, but this is a good start. If I…
